Happy Deepavali- Places To Go This Weekend

The festival of lights marks the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness and places an emphasis on worshipping Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Deepavali falls on the 15th day of Kartika, which is the holiest month in the Hindu calendar. It is a colorful festival filled with beautiful lights, candles, decorations and even fireworks. 

Here’s what you can do to enjoy the long weekend as a family.

 

The Deepavali Little India Light Up

Take a trip down Little India to marvel at a myriad of pretty light displays. The Deepavali Little India Light Up 2019 takes place from 7 September till 10 November 2019. Lights come on from 7 pm till midnight each evening. Definitely a great photo opportunity for the family as they enjoy the delicious treats in Little India.

Bask yourself in fairytale and fall in love with films and stories Walt Disney Animation Studios. Moonlight Cinema At Gardens By The Bay

They will host movies as they partner with Singapore International Film Festival - SGIFF in the lead up to the film festival, to celebrate storytelling through cinema.Before the film screenings, talented dancers from Luminous Dance Academy will perform to the iconic soundtracks of the featured films.
